Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona

JANUARY 2022

We stayed four days at the Four Seasons Scottsdale basking in the sunshine, taking in the local wild animals and climbing the legendary Pinnacle Peak.

The Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center in Scottsdale, Arizona will forever leave an impression on my soul.

The center rescues and rehabilitates native wildlife that has been injured, displaced, and orphaned. Once rehabilitated, they are returned to the wild. Sanctuary is provided to animals that cannot be released back to the wild.

It is home to 90 resident sanctuary animals including Bears, Tortoise, Mexican Gray Wolves, Mountain Lions, Coyotes, Bobcats, and even unique species such as Coatimundi and Javelina.

To be able to stand six feet from these creatures and really see and feel their magnificence is quite an experience and I encourage everyone to check them out if you're in the area.

JOSHUA TREE, California

APRIL 2022

the majestic mojave desert empowers all that come to it. declared a national monument in 1936 the park can be found in the south east of california where it extends to the colorado desert. there are visitor centers on the north and south entrances to the park, however there are not many places after that for water so be prepared.

there are fantastic rocks to climb, and many trails to hike.

if you’re staying overnight, camping is available at multiple spots. check out jumbo rocks! there are also many airbnb’s around town. Our favorite is Celeste Ranch.

always keep water with you in a desert environment and watch out for coyotes and desert tortoises!

SEPTEMBER 2018

That feeling.

Turning West onto 203 driving through snowy hills covered in pine trees.

You’ve heard about it for years but nothing compares to the sight of the real thing.

The crisp air, so fresh it awakens the soul.

The feel of the powder under your boots; unsure of the footing below but trusting it’s there as you walk towards a semi frozen lake.

This place makes you feel small; but in a majestic way.

This is Mammoth.
